Firearms Training Courses Offered
I. Fundamentals of Handgun Shooting
This course will provide each student with:
1. An understanding of the design, construction, workings, and operation of modern revolvers and semi-automatic handguns.2. A strong emphasis on safe handgun handling practices.3. An understanding of the components, applications, uses, and unique characteristics of today’s handgun ammunition.4. A step-by-step “building block” approach to instruction in the fundamentals of safely, confidently, competently, and accurately firing and handling modern revolver and semi-automatic handguns.5. Extensive live fire personalized instruction and supervised practice, structured to develop, improve, and build each student’s skills and abilities.6. Instruction in the care and maintenance of the handgun.7. A discussion on the various handgun types, cartridges, manufacturers, and designs. A discussion covering the tradeoffs and advantages/disadvantages that must be considered in evaluating these various factors as part of the handgun selection process.
Students may provide their own handgun for use during the course (either revolver or semi-automatic), as well as 100 rounds of ammunition for this handgun. Or students may elect to use handguns and ammunition provided by Rheinland Farms Armory (RFA). Students will also be required to wear eye and hearing protection during all live firing exercises. Students may bring their own eye and hearing protection, or use that which is provided by RFA at no cost.
Classes can be scheduled for groups of up to four shooters. Classes of more than four can be arranged upon special request. Groups of “ladies only”, family groups, etc. are encouraged to contact us to discuss any unique arrangements that might be desired.

III. Combined Fundamentals of Handgun Shooting & Missouri Concealed Carry (CCW)
This class is designed for the new or inexperienced shooter who desires to learn the basic skills and acquire the degree of competence and skill that can be gained through completing of the “Fundamentals of Handgun Shooting” class and to then satisfy the training requirements needed to obtain a Missouri Concealed Carry (CCW) permit. The class consists of the Fundamentals of Handgun Shooting class, in its entirety, combined with sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 of the Missouri CCW class as outlined on page two (2). This combined class is 12 Hrs. in length and is conducted over the course of two separate days. Class days/dates will vary in order to satisfy the specific needs of groups of students. Interested parties and/or groups desiring to take these classes are encouraged to contact us so that we can make arrangements to satisfy your needs and specific requirements.
Students may supply their own handgun, either revolver or semi-auto, which is in good and safe working order, and ammunition. This combined course will require 150 rounds of ammunition. If the student so desires, RFA will provide a handgun and a holster, and/or ammunition. Eye and ear protection must be worn during all live fire exercises. Students may bring their own eye and hearing protection, or it will be provided by RFA at no charge. Classes for “ladies only” or for groups larger than four can be arranged on request.
IV. NRA Defensive Pistol
This is a shooting intensive course. The students will learn to quickly, safely and confidently draw their pistol from a strong side hip holster and engage targets at various distances with accurate and effective live fire.
